A Workshop that Delivers Key Mind-Body Insights
When I first began attending Ki Aikido seminars with David Shaner Sensei in the mid-1990’s, my consistent take aways were not just precise lessons in somatic aikido technique, but Soshu Koichi Tohei Sensei’s mind-body unification wisdom, which came through with crystal clear delivery in Shaner's seminar themes.
Shaner Sensei’s unique approach stems not only from his direct, long-term relationship to the founder of mind-body-unified Aikido, Koichi Tohei Sensei (through his role as uchideshi), but on his decades-long academic immersion into both the syncretic nature of Shin Shin Toitsu Aikido (which includes aspects of Buddhism, Taoism, Confucianism and Shinto), and his deep exploration into world-class athletic performance training.

In this special visit from Dr. David E. Shaner to Boulder, Colorado, you’ll discover practical, embodied skills for peak performance—relaxation under pressure, genuine connection with others, and sustained focus—all which deliver key insights you can apply to work, relationships, sports, and personal challenges.
This is a special seminar that beginners and seasoned aikidoka of all affiliations, as well as the active adult and teen public, will definitely want to attend!
Three Core Skills That Change Everything
Participants will actively practice and internalize three transformative skills:
How to relax when it matters most — Learn to release unnecessary tension so your mind and body unify into a state of calm power, turning stress into centered action.
How to connect well with others — Practice ki extension and blending to build trust, resolve conflict, and create harmony in conversations, teams, and negotiations.
How to focus and sustain concentration — Develop mind-body coordination that sharpens presence and endurance, whether in boardrooms, on the field, or during creative work.
These aren’t abstract concepts
Through hands-on Ki Aikido practice—emphasizing mind-body unification rather than force—you’ll experience visceral “a-ha” moments: sudden realizations of how a simple shift in posture or breathing instantly improves your balance, confidence, and influence.
Many describe leaving Shaner’s seminars with tools that produce measurable, sustainable results in daily life, exactly as his corporate clients have for decades.
This workshop offers more than technique—it provides an embodied philosophy for living at your full potential.
Whether you seek personal growth, leadership edge, athletic improvement, or stress resilience, Shaner’s integrative approach delivers practical wisdom you can apply immediately.
Don’t miss this rare opportunity to train directly with one of the world’s most accomplished Ki Aikido teachers and performance experts. Secure your spot and prepare for a weekend that could transform how you move through the world.
