Boulder Taiko will be providing an engaging and enriching experience in the world of Taiko drumming for our young participants in 2024.

Course Overview
Dates: Friday, Nov. 1 to Friday, Dec. 20, 2024, 4:15 pm to 5:30 pm
Age Range: Open to ages 5 to 12 years old. Beginners welcome.
Duration: 75 minutes. Children may join at any time during the class.
Cost: $85 per month. No makeup class: 8 sessions total
Special offer: $160 for 2 months. Saving $10!
Students will need Bachi (drum sticks). Rental of a set of bachi is $10 per month. Purchase is available at $25 per set (Made in Japan), available from Julia Misawa directly.
Course Description
Our Little Dragons Kids Taiko Course is an exciting and immersive introduction to the world of Taiko drumming, specifically the continuation of the program as Little Dragons, designed specifically for children ages 5 to 12.
Led by experienced instructor, Julia Misawa, this course offers a dynamic blend of rhythm, movement, and cultural exploration.

Throughout the program, participants will learn fundamental Taiko drumming techniques, including stance, striking, rhythm patterns, and a new song(s), all while fostering teamwork, discipline, and confidence. Each session is carefully crafted to engage young learners and inspire a lifelong appreciation for music and Japanese culture.

As part of the course, students will have the opportunity to showcase their newfound skills at the Bonenkai, end-of-year party at One Dojo.
​
We believe this course will enrich our participants’ experience and provide them with valuable skills and memories to cherish.
